*F-1 Transfers: Students currently attending another U.S. institution and eligible to transfer their I-20.
*Online-Only Applicants: Students taking online classes from abroad who do not require an F-1 visa.
**Orientation schedules vary by campus and will be communicated to admitted students once confirmed.
Note: If applying more than 6 months in advance, please allow up to 3 weeks for review. All application materials must be received by the stated deadline.

Admissions Policies
Deferral Policy
Admitted international students may request to defer admission up to one calendar yearfrom their original quarter. Students may request up to four approved deferrals within this one-year period.
If a deferral request is approved, your admission will be moved to the next available international admission quarter. Students cannot skip an academic quarter when requesting a deferral. Please note that summer session is a unique admission term. If you are deferring from Spring to Summer, please follow the link for your campus to read more about summer session:
After 4 approved deferrals within one calendar year, applicants must submit a new international student application and pay the $75 application fee again. This policy does not apply to conditionally admitted students. Students with conditional admission may request additional deferrals as needed to complete their English language studies and meet full admission requirements.
Campus Selection and Transfers
Switching Campuses: You may select only one campus per application. To switch between Foothill and De Anza, you must withdraw your original application, reapply to the new campus, and pay a new $75 fee.
Transfer-In Students: Must begin classes at the start of the next open term or within 5 months, whichever comes first.
Transfer-Out Policy: Students entering the U.S. on a Foothill or De Anza I-20 must complete at least 1 term (minimum 12 units) before requesting an I-20 transfer to another institution.
